I was a VSB volunteer in the early 90's and spent time encouraging older people to become more active in their community. I found this volunteering to be extremely interesting, good fun and I made lots of new friends. I am still in touch in VSB and I am now a recipient of a volunteer driver who is a complete lifeline, enabling me to get out and about to essential appointments. I would actively encourage people to get in touch with VSB particularly anyone who is a driver with their own car - I would be lost without mine !!
