Volunteer Now Belfast
VSB merged with 7 other volunteer organisations on the 1 April 2010 to form Volunteer Now.
VSB is funded through the Voluntary and Community Unit of the Department of Social Development to provide the Volunteer Centre for Belfast. The role of the the role of Volunteer Now is to act as a broker between people who want to do voluntary work and organisations who need volunteers.
In addition to this the Volunteer Now provides volunteers, advice, information, funding and training to volunteers and organisations throughout Belfast and Castlereagh. Part of the support is provided by Volunteer Organisations Linking Together (VOLT) Forum which brings voluntary and community groups from across the city together to participate in a range of training on volunteer issues and best practice.
